In the Shade

In the Shade is part of the Tea Garden Pond Series, I created in response to my experiences visiting botanical gardens and the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco. I love to observe so many details and the feeling of serenity in a garden where you can see the passage of time with growth and organic decay.

This painting is 20x20 inches by 1.5" deep. I have painted a wood panel with watercolors and ink. The piece is sealed with archival varnish and ready to hang. It has a maple floater frame.
